Which Cooling Technology to use?
In order to determine which Cooling Technology would best fit your needs, it is important to realise which factors influence the way heat-stress is experienced. Temperature and humidity are the most important factors, besides ventilation. The degree of heat stress – Thermal Heat Index – is shown in the graph below as a function of temperature and ventilation:
Our Cooling Technologies – Flexible PCM© and Hydrogel© – cover all the areas in which heat-stress is experienced. Our Flexible PCM© is suitable for all temperatures and humidities; so it cools under all conditions.
Our Hydrogel© is only suitable at temperatures up to 40 °C, and relative humidities up to 90%. Especially for humidities above 75% you need proper ventilation.
